Brian is a partner in the Business law group with extensive experience advising clients in both English and French on corporate and commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, succession planning and commercial real estate transactions.
Originally from the Toronto area, Brian arrived in Moncton many years ago to play hockey for the Winnipeg Jets affiliate team the Moncton Hawks. It is here that he met his wife Louise. Despite being a unilingual Anglophone, when his hockey career ended Brian enrolled as a student at the Université de Moncton, a francophone university, and began the process of learning to speak, read and write in French while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and ultimately obtaining his law degree. He also played for the university men’s hockey team les Aigles Bleus during his studies.
As a teenager Brian played junior hockey with the Oshawa Generals and it was there that he was taught that real success is never measured by individual achievements but rather by the accomplishments of the “Team”. Brian has adhered to this principle throughout his legal career.
As a trusted and valued advisor to his clients, Brian is committed to the overall success of their “Team”. Whether providing transactional advice, assisting with succession planning, participating in negotiations or acting in a general advisory capacity, Brian works alongside his clients throughout all stages of their business life cycle providing reliable, practical solutions to the complex issues found in today’s business environment.

Upper Canadian transplant, Acadian adoptee, husband and father of three, hockey player on a permanent hiatus who disappoints regularly on the golf course.
Random facts
Brian lived for a year in the French Alps while playing hockey in Morzine.
Brian has volunteered as a hockey coach at all levels of minor hockey and was an assistant coach of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus men’s hockey team for one season.
Brian lived in Caraquet, NB for two years during his undergraduate studies. It was in Caraquet that he not only began to learn the French language but also about the great Acadian people and their culture.
Throughout his career Brian has served on various boards and committees, presented on topics related to business and the law and regularly teaches the corporate law section (francophone) of the New Brunswick Bar Course.
