Conscientious and detail-oriented, problem solving for businesses As a 3rd generation lawyer, Kelsey had big shoes to fill following in her father’s footsteps, but has proven herself up to the challenge. Kelsey was quickly attracted to the details and the logic of Law. She enjoys looking at problems like puzzles to be solved and dealing with the formation and re-organization of complex business structures and deals.
Kelsey has experience providing legal advice to businesses – and the people who run businesses – across a diverse range of industries. Recognized in The 2017 and 2019 Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory as a leading practitioner in Corporate Commercial Law, Kelsey cares about doing a good job, crossing all the “t”s and dotting all the “i”s, and exceeding client expectations.
Outside of work, Kelsey also likes to challenge herself and has hiked to the summit of Mount Fuji, hiked the Inca Trail to Macchu Pichu, Peru and hiked the Camino de Santiago from Barcelos, Portugal. She loves to travel and has lived abroad in both Liège and Brussels, Belgium and Osaka, Japan. In high school, Kelsey was given the opportunity to become a Rotary exchange student. While living and attending high school in Belgium for a year, she had the benefit of meeting students from all over the world. This experience gave her a greater appreciation of what it means to be Canadian and led her to become a Rotarian and eventually President of the Rotary Club of Moncton for a two year term from 2017-2019. “One person can really make a difference through the strength and resources of Rotary, which is known for doing so much good in the world.”
Kelsey also teaches the next generation of lawyers at the Law Society of New Brunswick Bar Admissions Course and chairs the Moncton Planning Advisory Committee. She was chosen to be part of the 7th Entrepreneurial Leaders Program with the Wallace McCain Institute, a program designed to give high potential entrepreneurs what they need to succeed, and is also a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization. Both of these organizations provide valuable insight to her as both a business owner and business law advisor.
With her B.A. in Honours Translation and her experiences studying, living and working in other cultures and languages, Kelsey understands the importance of being clear, concise and making sure all parties understand the communication and contracts in their business lives. And she can do so in both official languages.
